Project overview
The Lowe’s Mobile Wallet brings payment methods, gift cards, and personalized offers into one centralized destination within the app. The experience connects everyday account management with shopping, helping customers prepare for in-app purchases and access gift cards and offers for in-store redemption.
Customers can manage saved payment cards, designate a primary payment method, and organize gift cards with custom names, available balances, and transaction history. Gift cards and offers feature accessible barcode views, while offer terms, expiration dates, and redemption statuses help customers understand what is available to use.
My role as Lead Product Designer
I led the product design of the Wallet experience, from competitive analysis and user-story mapping through wireframes and high-fidelity interface design. I organized customer activities into actionable tasks and feature requirements, using the story map to distinguish initial-release priorities from future opportunities.
I established a consistent, card-based design language across payment methods, gift cards, and offers, while tailoring the information and actions to each. Payment cards emphasize identification and primary-card selection; gift cards prioritize available value and barcode access; offers highlight savings, terms, and eligibility. This approach gives the experience a cohesive structure without treating every card type as interchangeable.
I designed the core flows for adding and editing cards, managing billing information, naming gift cards, and accessing redemption details. Bottom-sheet forms keep focused tasks in context, while dedicated empty states guide first-time use. I also accounted for multiple saved cards and the distinction between available, redeemed, and expired offers.
A central design priority was balancing ongoing management with quick access at the moment of purchase. The goal was to make Wallet more than a place to store information—giving customers a practical way to find, manage, and use their payment methods and available savings.
